Hi! Thanks for stopping by, and sharing in our quest to become 46rs.
So who are we? We’re a couple of paperchasers-by-weekday, living in upstate New York and getting outside whenever we can. We’ve been married since St. Patrick’s Day 2007 – what a party!
Why are we hiking 46 mountains? Mr. Paperchaser, who grew up in upstate NY, started hiking the 46 long before meeting Mrs. Paperchaser (known in these parts as seaspray5846). Mrs. Paperchaser had no previous backpacking or hiking experience, having grown up playing most of her outdoor games near (you guessed it) the ocean. Both are always up for a challenge, though, and by committing to do all 46, it helps us keep GETTING OUTSIDE on the forefront our our weekend plans.
It seems we only hike a couple of months a year. What else do we do? We’re also into homebrewing beer, working on our house, and of course, Guinness:
